WHO WE ARE
Mission & Vision
MISSION: Rock On Society’s mission is to promote stroke and cardiac health, prevent cardiovascular disease, and raise funds for stroke and cardiac patients through dynamic and vibrant experiences that foster community, collaboration, and connections.
VISION: Rock On Society creates curated gatherings that blend purpose with unforgettable connections. The vision is multi-layered with vibrant community experiences where hearts beat strong through wellness education, advocacy, and compassionate support for stroke and cardiac patients.
OUR STORY
In 2006, at age 31, Julie Guttormson, founder of Rock On Society, suffered a stroke caused by three blood clots in the major veins of her brain. Her recovery opened her eyes to the health and financial challenges many families face following a cardiac or stroke event.
Her experience inspired Rock The Ride, a celebration of movement, heart health, community, and philanthropy. First held in 2016, Rock The Ride has now had eight events, raising nearly $400,000 to support local stroke and cardiac patient care.
In 2022, Julie founded Rock On Society, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to stroke and cardiac health through prevention, advocacy, education, community engagement, and financial assistance. In Jackson Hole, accessing specialized care can sometimes mean leaving the valley—adding significant travel and financial stress to an already difficult moment.
This year, we're proud to bring the Heart Strong Gap Fund to life, providing timely financial assistance to stroke and cardiac patients and their families during and after a medical crisis. Support can help cover travel, lodging, deductibles, co-pays, and other unexpected out-of-pocket expenses.
Together, we're building a Heart Strong Future for Jackson Hole.
