Rock The Ride returns raising $107,986 for local stroke and cardiac patients

Rock the Ride, the beloved “party on a bike” founded by Julie Guttormson and shuttered during the pandemic, returned bolder and brighter on March 11, 2023 at The Virginian Lodge to raise money for St. John’s Health Foundation (SJHF).

Guttormson, VIM studio owner who also founded the new nonprofit Rock On Society, brought her dream back to life by hosting the night-time event with talented Schwinn® Indoor Cycling Master Trainers and celebrated event DJ.

Ask anyone who knows her: Julie Guttormson is a rock star.

Her schedule is a little different from that of Axl Rose or Nikki Sixx, getting up around 4 a.m. instead of going to sleep at that hour. But when she pulls on a headset mic and cranks the music for a small group of cyclists or other fitness class attendees at VIM, her studio, she brings the party.
