STROKE AWARENESS MONTH
Throughout May, Rock On Society shines a light on stroke prevention, early detection, and inspirational stories — all while raising funds to support local stroke and cardiac health efforts through our HEARTSTRONG initiatives for all ages.
Why This Matters
🕒 A stroke occurs every 40 seconds in the U.S.
⚠️ Someone dies from a stroke every 3.5 minutes
🧍 Stroke is the 5th leading cause of death and a leading cause of long-term disability
👩⚕️ Stroke is the #3 cause of death in women and kills more women than men
🛡️ Up to 80% of strokes are preventable
⏱️ Early recognition and response can save lives — learn to BE FAST
