MAY IS STROKE AWARENESS MONTH

STROKE AWARENESS MONTH

Throughout May, Rock On Society shines a light on stroke prevention, early detection, and inspirational stories β€” all while raising funds to support local stroke and cardiac health efforts through our HEARTSTRONG initiatives for all ages.

Why This Matters

  • πŸ•’ A stroke occurs every 40 seconds in the U.S.

  • ⚠️ Someone dies from a stroke every 3.5 minutes

  • 🧍 Stroke is the 5th leading cause of death and a leading cause of long-term disability

  • πŸ‘©β€βš•οΈ Stroke is the #3 cause of death in women and kills more women than men

  • πŸ›‘οΈ Up to 80% of strokes are preventable

  • ⏱️ Early recognition and response can save lives β€” learn to BE FAST
